The Louisiana Military Museum, located in Abbeville, held its first Annual Veteran's Day Open House.

Veterans and current members of the Armed Forces were encouraged to bring copies of military records to be included in the Louisiana military database.

Right now, there are over 5,000 people included.

A new museum logo, along with future exhibit designs, were unveiled to visitors.

Dr. Elista Istre, Consultant for the Louisiana Military Museum, explained, "Everyone is related to someone who is a veteran, whether it was your father, uncle, aunt, cousins, friends, neighbors...we all know veterans. They live in our communities. This is a way we can open our doors to them and support them."
