Dear Veteran or Veteran Supporter,

To honor ALL military veterans with a connection to Louisiana, the Louisiana Military Museum, an independent, non-profit 501(c)3 entity, hosts a Veteran’s Database Program in support of its mission to “honor our veterans and remember their stories.”
Any veteran, living or deceased, who was born, lived, trained, or served in Louisiana is eligible for inclusion. The process for submission is simple. Veterans, their friends, or their loved ones are asked to fill out a Veteran Data Submission form and either bring it to the museum in person or send it to the museum via e-mail or standard mail.
Although some details may be unknown, veterans, or those submitting the information on their behalf, are requested to provide as much detail about their military service as possible. The museum encourages the inclusion of hard copies or high-resolution digital versions of documents, certificates, photographs, video clips, and any other supplemental materials deemed appropriate. To ensure that information is properly credited within the database, the service member’s name and contact information for
those submitting the information must be included on the submission form, as well as on all accompanying materials.

The Louisiana Military Museum honors over 5,000 service members through its database but constantly expands to include new submissions. The database is currently available to all museum visitors.
We are asking you to contribute your information and consider sending a donation to support the Veteran’s Database Program to help us continue our mission, which seeks to engage and inspire visitors of all ages and backgrounds to honor our veterans and
remember their stories through exhibits and programs that foster greater understanding and appreciation for the men and women of our Armed Forces whose service and sacrifice have contributed to our state, nation, and the world from c. 1700 –present.

Sincerely,
Louisiana Military Museum Board of Directors
